Teacher Appreciation Week

Annually, at the beginning of May, we celebrate our McKenny teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. This year it is May 8-12. Every single day, I feel fortunate to work with and collaborate with such an amazing and dedicated group of educators. We truly are blessed at McKenny that our children are guided each day by caring, talented, energetic and creative teachers who challenge, entertain and nurture.

Please join me in honoring and celebrating our McKenny teachers. They are absolutely wonderful and we are so lucky.

Cultural Kaleidoscope June 8, 2023

Our planning team has been working hard to plan a wonderful event to celebrate all of our families and the cultures that make up our phenomenal school community. It is not too late to participate! Here is a quote from a yellow flier that was sent home last Friday.

During this event, each grade level will be performing a song or two led by our incredible music teacher Ms. Matthews. Therefore, since you will already be attending to see the performances, please consider participating in another way and help to make our event as amazing as possible.

The flier includes a QR code to see pictures from past cultural celebrations to help generate ideas. Please look for this flier and return the participation interest section if you would like. And if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Have a wonderful day.

Michael Havens
