1st-5th Grade Supply Lists
IMPORTANT: Student Emergency Kit
The staff at McKenny have decided that each student should have an Emergency Kit located in their classroom at school. The following is a suggested kit:
- 1 bottle of water
- 1 bottle of juice
- 3 nonperishable foods
- choice of granola bars, energy bars, fruit roll-up
- items for child to use, markers or crayons and paper, book, cards;
- personal family comfort reminder such as a family photo or letter
- 1 large garbage bag.
First Grade
Please label these items below with child’s name before the first day of school. Please write your child’s name in his/her:
- 1 backpack - large enough to fit library books, a folder, and a change of clothes
- 1 pair of child scissors (Not Woods class)
- 1 set of watercolor paints
- 1 pencil box (hard plastic)
The following items will be part of a central supply and need not be labeled with student’s name:
- 1 box of tissue for blowing noses
- 2 dozen #2 pencils
- 3 pink erasers
- 6 glue sticks small size
- 2 boxes of 24 crayons
- 1 box of colored pencils
- 3 black dry erase markers
- 1 package broad-tipped colored markers 10 count
- 1 container disinfecting wipes (Not Woods class)
- 1 composition notebook (WIDE RULE ONLY PLEASE)
- 1 Primary Journal composition books (primary lined pages- with a picture area at the top)
- 1 bottle hand sanitizer
- 1 box Quart size plastic baggies (Last name letters A-M)
- 1 box Gallon size plastic baggies (Last name letters N-Z)
Second Grade
The following items will be part of a central supply and need not be labeled with student’s name:
- 3 Wide rule composition spiral notebooks, - No characters or designs
- Book bag or back pack and lunch box
- 24 #2 pencils pre-sharpened yellow
- 2 box crayons, no more than 24
- 2 - 10 pack of fine-line markers
- 1 - 12 pack Colored Pencils (no erasers)
- 2 glue sticks - small size
- 1 pair of scissors
- Watercolor set
- Pocket Folder- 1 green, 1 blue, and 1 yellow - No characters or designs
- 1 large box of tissue
- Bandages (optional, but helpful)
- Hand sanitizer - pump bottle
- Hand sanitizing - wipes
- Black dry erase markers
- Black sharpie (last name A-M)
- Copy paper (last name N-Z)
Third Grade
Please label these items below with child’s name before the first day of school:
- 1 sketch pad or non lined composition notebook for drawing
- 3 spiral notebooks (wide-ruled)
- 1 lined composition notebook (wide-ruled)
- 1 pencil pouch/box (big enough for colored pencils/markers)
- 1 sturdy Pocket Folder (plastic preferred for durability)
- 1 pair of scissors (pointed, good quality that cut well)
- 1 package of 8 or more colored markers - medium tip, not permanent type
- 1 package 12 or more colored pencils
- Personal pencil sharpener (with a shaving collector)
- Bookbag or backpack
- 1 pair of personal headphones
The following items will be part of a central supply and do not need to be labeled with student’s name:
- 48 #2 pencils pre sharpened (not plastic coated)
- 1 large eraser
- 1 container disinfecting/cleaning wipes
- 1 package of 4 or more glue sticks
- 1 boxes tissues
- 4 Dry erase pens
- 2 permanent black pen/marker (sharpie type)
Fourth Grade
- 5 spiral notebooks (different colors)
- 4 folders (different colors)
- 1 box of pencils
- 1 box colored pencils
- 1 ruler
- 1 personal pencil sharpener
- 1 pencil pouch/box (big enough for all your supplies)
- 2 pink erasers
- 4 black dry erase markers
