As part of our commitment to providing awareness and education around digital citizenship and digital health and well-being, the Olympia School District is excited to provide an opportunity for you and your family to watch the next installment of Screenagers. Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience examines the science behind teens' emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help students build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety and depression in our digital age.

Student Transfers

Any student desiring to attend or continue to attend school in the Olympia School District, outside of their regular attendance area shall apply for a transfer. The Executive Director of Elementary Education and the Executive Director of Secondary Education will accept names for the waitlist.

Free parenting workshops offered

The Olympia School District is pleased to offer free child development workshops with Candyce Lund Bollinger. Bollinger is a parent educator and private parenting counselor in Washington State and has been practicing for more than 35 years. She provides classes and consultations for schools, colleges, civic groups, private organizations and has a private practice. She is the mother of four children and has two grandchildren.

Pack the Gym once again raises the roof

The bleachers of Olympia High School’s Chick Rockey Gymnasium were overflowing for the Olympia Unified Sports Pack the Gym basketball game. Excited students, staff and families held up handmade signs as the gymnasium loudly cheered on the participants. The game itself was fast-paced and engaging. The players on both teams were flying up and down the court, encouraging each other throughout. When one team scored, both teams celebrated. The camaraderie was evident and the joy the players exuded was genuine.
