Who: Incoming Kindergarteners and their parents

What: Sneak Peek into Kindergarten, including a meet and greet with the teachers and information on how to get your child ready!

Meeting

Our final PTO meeting of the year is Tuesday, June 7th from 6:30 to 8:00 in the McKenny library. We will be looking at playground options and planning for next year. We hope to see you there in person or on zoom.

Principal's Corner

Hello McKenny Families,

As we wind down another school year, I want to share with you my feelings of gratitude for everyone who makes our school community so special.

PTO Leaders

Thank you Carrie Andrew and Ingrid Aries for your leadership this year as Co-Presidents of the PTO. Your focus on community and support of our school’s efforts related to equity and inclusion have been so amazing. Thank you for being the force behind two very successful fundraisers which will leave permanent, joyful reminders of your service in the form of new playground equipment, new library books and new supplies for our specialist teachers. Thank you Sarah Mollas for your energy and leadership during the recent Spring Carnival. It was an amazing experience for students and families. Finally, thank you to a whole slew of new (and new-ish) parents for stepping into PTO leadership positions for the coming years.

Thank you to the teachers and support staff at McKenny for everything you do, every single day to support our students. Your collaboration, communication and community make our school a very special place to work and learn each day. I am honored and humbled to work with you.

Parents and Families

Thank you for the support you give to your children and to their teachers. A positive partnership between school and parents makes all the difference in the academic and social/emotional growth of children. As we’ve been able to welcome volunteers back into the building this year, it has been so special to see parents and community members working with students and supporting our teachers.

These are both weather dependent. Therefore, we don’t have dates on the calendar yet. Please pay attention to your email over the summer for updates and a call for help.
