Supply Lists

    • 3 packs of facial tissues
    • 1 pack of baby wipes
    • 1 full-sized backpack - for your student to bring to/from school that is large enough to fit a folder, and a change of clothes (accidents/messes happen)
    • Please send one of the following: salt, cornstarch, a can of Barbasol shaving cream, baking soda, or vinegar for sensory/science activities
    • Optional - 1 small pack of Kinetic Sand and/or Playdough
  • IMPORTANT: Student Emergency Kit


    The staff at McKenny has decided that each student should have an Emergency Kit located in their classroom at school. The following is a suggested kit:

    • 1 bottle of water
    • 1 bottle of juice
    • 3 nonperishable foods:
    • choice of granola bars, energy bars, fruit roll-up
    • items for child to use: markers or crayons and paper, book, cards
    • personal family comfort reminder such as a family photo or letter
    • 1 large garbage bag.

     
    Classroom Supplies
    Please bring your supplies to your WA-kids conference before school starts.

    Let us know if this presents a financial hardship for you, and we can make other arrangements. Most of the requested supplies are shared, so you need only mark those indicated.

    • 1 standard-sized plastic pencil box (please - no characters, metal, or cloth) 
    • 1 package of large, round, or triangular primary pencils
    • 2 boxes of crayons (24 pack)
    • 2 boxes classic colors broad tip markers (10 pack) 
    • 1 package fine/thin tip black dry erase markers (more are welcome)
    • 1 black Sharpie (more are welcome)
    • 3 large glue sticks (more are welcome)
    • 1 pair of children's scissors
    • 1 primary composition book with space to draw
    • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
    • 1 bottle foam soap
    • 1 box of facial tissue
    • 1 ream white copy paper
    • 1 oversized white t-shirt to tie-dye, that will fit all year
    • 1 backpack- large enough to fit library books, a folder, and a change of clothes 
    • 1 reusable, spill-proof water bottle 
       

    Labeling and Notes

    • Please label backpack, water bottle, scissors, pencil box, and white t-shirt ONLY
    • All outer garments (coats, hats, sweaters, boots) label with your child’s name.
    • Please label all notes with teacher’s name and child’s name.

     

    Please note: If your child will be traveling home in a different manner than usual, or will be picked up by someone different, the school must be notified. Please send a note, call the office at 360-596-8400, or email the attendance line at mckes-attendance@osd.wednet.edu

    • 1 backpack - large enough to fit library books, a folder, and a change of clothes
    • 1 set of watercolor paints
    • 1 pencil box (hard plastic)
       

    The following items will be part of a central supply and need not be labeled with the student’s name:

    • 2 dozen #2 pencils
    • 3 pink erasers
    • 4 glue sticks, small size
    • 2 boxes of 24 crayons
    • 1 box of colored pencils (12-pack only, no Twistables please)
    • 4 fine point black dry erase markers
    • 1 package broad-tipped colored markers, 10 count
    • 1 composition notebook (WIDE RULE ONLY PLEASE)
    • 1 Primary Journal composition books (primary lined pages- with a picture area at the top)
    • 1 box of tissue for blowing noses
    • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
    • 1 box quart-size plastic baggies (Last name letters A-M)
    • 1 box gallon-size plastic baggies (Last name letters N-Z)

    • 24 #2 pencils pre-sharpened yellow
    • 2 box crayons, no more than 24
    • 2 - 10 pack of fine-line markers
    • 1 - 12 pack Colored Pencils (no erasers)
    • 4 glue sticks - small size
    • pencil top erasers
    • 1 pair of scissors
    • Watercolor set
    • Pocket Folder- 1 green, 1 blue, and 1 yellow - No characters or designs
    • 1 large box of tissue
    • Bandages (optional, but helpful)
    • Hand sanitizer - pump bottle
    • Sanitizing wipes
    • Black dry erase markers
    • Black Sharpie (last name A-M)
    • Quart-size Ziploc bags (last name N-Z)

    • 1 sturdy Pocket Folder (plastic preferred for durability)
    • 1 pair of scissors (pointed, good quality that cut well)
    • 1 package of 8 or more colored markers - medium tip, not permanent type
    • 1 package 12 or more colored pencils
    • Personal pencil sharpener (with a shaving collector)
    • Bookbag or backpack
    • 1 pair of personal headphones
       

    The following items will be part of a central supply and do not need to be labeled with the student’s name:

    • 48 #2 pencils pre-sharpened (not plastic-coated)
    • 1 large eraser 
    • 1 container disinfecting/cleaning wipes
    • 1 package of 4 or more glue sticks
    • 1 boxes tissues
    • 4 Dry erase pens 
    • 2 permanent black pen/marker (sharpie type)

    • plug in headphones to be kept at school
    • 1 pack of 10 washable primary colored markers
    • 4 glue sticks
    • 1 black Sharpie
